As supply and demand shape the market, the variety of fruit and vegetable cleaning machines is growing rapidly, with increasingly diverse features—though cleaning remains the most fundamental requirement for these devices. Among the components of fruit and vegetable washers, the brush roller stands out as a crucial and indispensable part.
The brush roller primarily removes dirt and residual pesticides adhering to the surfaces of fruits and vegetables. Freshly harvested produce often has delicate, crisp skin, so during the cleaning process, the mechanical rotation of the brush roller causes it to continuously flip and gently rub against the fruit and vegetable surfaces—creating just the right amount of friction for effective yet careful cleaning. If the bristles on the brush roller are too stiff, they could easily puncture or bruise the delicate skin; conversely, if the bristles are too soft, the cleaning efficiency would suffer. Therefore, it’s recommended to choose brush rollers with resilient bristles that strike a perfect balance between softness and durability, ensuring both optimal performance and protection for the produce.
Typically, washing machine manufacturers opt for four materials—PA6, PA66, PA610, and PA612—to make the bristles of their brush rollers, ensuring they meet critical requirements such as high-temperature resistance, wear resistance, antibacterial and anti-mold properties, safety, hygiene, environmental friendliness, and the ability to maintain color and fiber integrity without shedding.
